The most important objective was to create a wonderful, warm space for a chef to cook and entertain her family and friends. The process of cooking was to be part of the act of eating. The cooking and dining areas were combined into one, self-contained space that spilled out into the outdoors. The brief entailed the complete restructure and remodel of an existing kitchen and dining area. The dining room, originally a separate room, was integrated into the kitchen and connected to the outdoors, creating a kitchen for a client who loved to cook and entertain. All conceptual work, sourcing of materials, dealing with contractors and subcontractors was part of the scope of work. Bon appetit!
